Heaven and Hell Show opens Friday May 2 Curators: Domenica Brockman and Marina Delaney The ninth annual Cayuga Arts Collective Spring Show will take place at the Community School of Music and Art (CSMA) in Ithaca, NY (due to on-going renovations at the Trumansburg Conservatory.) Every year we invite established and emerging artists to take part in celebrating the creative spirit that fills our community. This year the themes are heaven and hell. This year the theme is Heaven and Hell. For heaven, keywords include: gods and goddesses; celestial bodies - ie moons, stars, clouds; angels; peace; joy;,Shangri-la; gold/light; pearly gates; tranquility; paradise; Garden of Eden. For Hell, key words include: fire; war; death; destruction; devils and demons; temptation; darkness; sorrow and loss. As always, we welcome broad interpretations of the theme but please keep in mind CSMA is a school and all images must be appropriate for a general audience. This exhibit is open only to CayAC members and every member is guaranteed at least one spot. For the duration of the exhibit, we will run a “People’s Choice Award”. A ballot box will be located at the door. This year there will be $300 in prize money. IMPORTANT DATES - 2025
Submission deadline : Monday April 7 Notification of works accepted: Monday April 14 Delivery of works to CSMA: Tuesday April 29, 2:30-7pm Exhibition Dates: May 2 - May 27 Opening Reception: Friday, May 2, 5-7pm (Ithaca Gallery Night) Closing Party: None Pickup of works: May 28-30 2:30-7pm
